Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior fluid systems engineer to support the development and operations of the New Glenn launch vehicle. You will lead analysis activities from conceptual design to flight operations, owning modeling inputs and results for fluid systems throughout the program.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in fluids or thermodynamics, experience with SINDA/FLUINT or Thermal Desktop, and strong MATLAB skills, with a track record in rocket propulsion or spaceflight systems analysis.

Qualifications

BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
15+ years of experience in fluids or thermodynamic analysis.
Expertise with fluid modeling tools such as SINDA/FLUINT or Thermal Desktop.
Proficient in MATLAB or similar scripting tools.
Experience analyzing booster and upper-stage rocket systems.
Experience reviewing and critiquing models and results.

Responsibilities

Perform analysis-intensive work supporting fluid systems design for a launch vehicle.
Develop and verify fluid and thermal models and loads from CFD, first principles, literature, or experiments.
Document inputs, models, and results in reports and data books.
