Job summary

Blue Origin in the Greater Seattle Area is seeking a Principal Fluids Engineer to lead analysis and design of fluid systems for the New Glenn launch vehicle. You will mentor engineers, shepherd models from concept to flight, and ensure performance and safety throughout development and operations.

Responsibilities include developing CFD-derived loads, validating results, and maintaining analysis data books, with strong emphasis on quality, commitment to safety, and collaboration across

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• 15+ years of fluids or thermodynamic analysis experience.
• Expertise with one or more fluid modeling tools: SINDA/FLUINT, Thermal Desktop.
• MATLAB or similar scripting tools knowledge.
• Experience analyzing booster and upper-stage rocket systems.
• Ability to review and critique models and results.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and verification of fluid system models for New Glenn.
• Develop fluid and thermal loads from CFD, first principles, literature, and experiments.
• Own documentation and data books for analysis inputs and results.
• Collaborate with design and flight operations to ensure readiness.
• Mentor junior engineers and uphold quality and safety standards.
