Job summary

Reliable Robotics in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Senior Simulation Software Engineer to shape the full simulation software stack, including framework performance, flight dynamics modeling, hardware emulation, and test infrastructure.

You will lead projects to build a robust, deterministic simulator, collaborate with flight software and hardware teams, and mentor engineers to improve skills in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years industry experience in simulation systems within aviation, automotive or comparable environments.
• 7+ years professional experience in object oriented C++ and Python.
• Experience modeling aircraft dynamics (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead projects to develop a robust, deterministic, and scalable software simulation framework to accelerate testing of safety-critical systems.
• Collaborate with flight software, guidance/navigation/control, and hardware test engineers to expand the simulation system.
• Improve core architecture for performance, reproducibility, and flexibility; mentor team members.
