Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED) preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience performing vehicle maintenance.
• A heavy-duty vehicle maintenance certificate may substitute for 1 year experience.
• Master ASE certification may substitute for 2 additional years experience.
• Competency in brakes, electrical, PMI, powertrain, and trailing equipment.
• Medium/Heavy Truck Master ASE Certification and Class A CDL preferred.
• Proficient with maintenance programs and diagnostic systems.
• Knowledge of gas/diesel engines and on-board computers.
• Ability to lift components weighing ~110 pounds with assistance.
• Must have tools to perform tasks.

Responsibilities

• Repairs, modifies and performs preventive maintenance inspections and troubleshooting.
• Perform advanced diagnostics to identify sources of trouble and repair or rebuild components.
• Make adjustments for safe, efficient operation and document work.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced technicians.
• Ensure proper documentation and complete reports.
• Perform safety inspections and document results.
• Paint and body work on vehicles as needed.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
