Job summary

The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) seeks a Fixed Assets Analyst Sr. to manage DMV’s fixed assets, ensure GASB/compliance, and maintain accurate records within FAACS, LAS, Cardinal Financial, and AMS.

This role tracks, reconciles, and reports on equipment, property, and CIP including SBITAs; it collaborates across offices to support audits and financial integrity, modernization, and reporting efficiency. Located in Richmond, this position emphasizes system integrity and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP and GASB standards as they apply to fixed assets, leases, and SBITAs.
• Experience maintaining fixed asset and lease records and related reconciliations.
• Ability to prepare reconciliations, reports, and supporting documentation for audits.
• Familiarity with policies and internal controls for fixed assets and leases.
• Experience maintaining asset data accuracy in financial or asset management systems.
• Ability to resolve discrepancies and support data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Manage AMS and reconcile with FAACS for asset data integrity.
• Coordinate annual inventory counts for fixed assets and related items.
• Oversee inventory of titles, tags, plates, decals, and credential paper to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare year-end schedules and support audits and system security controls.
• Support process improvements and modernization efforts of asset management systems.
