Job summary

Atlantic Constructors is seeking a Fire Protection Superintendent to manage day-to-day operations for the new construction fire protection field trade. You will supervise journeymen, mechanics, and apprentices, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity while aligning with design, budget, and schedule.

This role requires strong leadership, a solid safety record, and the ability to coordinate with construction teams, vendors, and management across multiple job sites.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of commercial fire protection supervision.
• 10+ years hands-on fire protection trade work or equivalent.
• Strong safety mindset and organizational skills.
• Extensive knowledge of fire protection system installation.
• Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to report to multiple job sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fire protection field manpower to meet design, budget and schedule.
• Manage day-to-day field personnel for quality and productivity.
• Document changes, relay updates, and lead the team.
• Coordinate with Construction team on issues and progress.
• Uphold safety standards and incident reporting procedures.
• Establish and maintain departmental standards.
• Hire, train, plan, assign, and direct fire protection staff; evaluate performance.
• Ensure policies and project guidelines are followed by staff.
• Maintain personnel logs and documentation.
• Support planning, scheduling, and engineering as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
