Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Fire Protection Superintendent to manage day-to-day operations of the fire protection field trade on new construction projects.

You will supervise journeymen, mechanics, and apprentices, ensuring safety, quality, adherence to design, budgets, and schedules. This role requires strong leadership, staffing, training, and communication with management, staff, customers, and vendors to maintain a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of commercial fire protection supervision and 10+ years hands-on fire protection trade work or equivalent
• Proficiency in fire protection field supervision and knowledge of installation standards
• Strong safety focus with the ability to work with minimal supervision and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Oversee fire protection field manpower to ensure construction aligns with design, budget, and schedule
• Oversee day-to-day fire protection field personnel transfers to maintain quality and productivity
• Document changes and problems and act as a team member and leader
• Communicate with Construction regarding open issues during planning and build phases
• Focus on output quality to meet company vision goals
• Interview, hire, and train fire protection staff; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance
• Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
• Oversee total fire protection field construction efforts to meet design, budget, and schedule
• Maintain staff logs and documentation files
• Provide direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
