Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) is seeking a Fire Protection Field Engineer to oversee and advise on compliance with DOE and NFPA fire protection requirements at the Hanford site. The role focuses on design reviews, hazards analysis, life-safety calculations, and on-site evaluations.

The FPFE will interact with the Hanford Fire Marshal and program management, guiding safety programs and ensuring adherence to applicable standards and project schedules.

Formación

• BA/BS in Fire Protection Engineering or Fire Science or related technical field.
• NICET Level III or NICET Level IV certification is required or preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in design, approvals, and development of fire protection systems and equipment.
• Create, review, and approve Fire Hazards Analysis and fire protection assessments.
• Analyze life safety requirements, building code compliance, occupancy determinations and egress analysis.
• Perform on-site fire protection system evaluations.
• Provide oversight of service providers and crafts performing work on H2C fire protection systems.
• Interface with Hanford Fire Marshal and DOE Fire Protection AHJ as required.
• Maintain knowledge of codes, principles, and techniques in fire protection engineering.
• Implement programs to ensure work and facility safety per applicable requirements.
