Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to advance the WTP Fire Protection Program (FPP) within the DF LAW Operating Island at Hanford. You will integrate safety requirements into complex project planning and operations, performing risk assessments and leading meetings to monitor performance trends.

Reporting to the Safety & Health Fire Protection Manager, you will develop and maintain FPP documentation, coordinate inspections, and ensure compliance across maintenance and operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or NICET II certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
• Experience with fire protection programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements the WTP Fire Protection Program (FPP) and coordinates inspections and audits.
• Develops, reviews, and implements FPP documents.
• Identifies gaps and implements improvements in the FPP.
• Reviews FPS/LSS work planning to ensure fire protection controls.
• Performs FP verifications and compliance oversight of Hot Work Permits.
• Supports training of fire protection staff.
