Amentum invites a senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our Nuclear Projects team supporting the Oak Ridge, TN Nuclear Center of Excellence. The role offers remote/Hybrid/Onsite work across multiple sites with travel, focusing on life-safety design and critical fire protection systems for complex facilities.

Qualified candidates have a BS in Engineering, 10+ years in industrial fire protection, and professional registration (or willingness to become registered).

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Registered engineer in fire protection or related discipline and willing to become registered by exam.
• Minimum of 10 years in industrial fire protection, life safety, and major codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering deliverables, scope of work, budget and schedule.
• Perform fire protection and life-safety analyses and modeling.
• Coordinate with designers, engineers and clients to ensure compliance with NFPA, DOE/DOD, API and other standards.
