Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Oak Ridge, TN office to perform electrical design and construction support for mission-critical facilities.

You will survey existing conditions, develop design packages, write reports, estimate costs, and guide junior engineers while coordinating with quality teams and client discussions.

This role requires an ABET-accredited engineering degree, 8+ years of experience, NEC expertise, and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree.
• 8+ years of electrical engineering design experience.
• US citizenship verification for government requirements.
• Short Circuit Analysis experience.
• Strong knowledge of the NEC.
• Experience leading groups of engineers and designers on major projects.
• Experience with client discussions and proposals/SOW writing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Survey/assess existing facilities and master planning, scoping and estimating level of effort.
• Field work to assess existing conditions and write reports.
• Develop conceptual designs, drawings, specifications and calculations.
• Assist with cost estimating and technical review of design packages.
• Direct activities of junior engineering staff on these tasks.
• Disposition NCRs and respond to RFIs; issue DCNs as needed.
• Coordinate with Quality on inspections and scopes of work for electrical subcontractors during bidding and construction.
