Job summary

Amentum seeks a Fire Protection Engineer to support our Oak Ridge Nuclear Center of Excellence from a USA location with remote, hybrid or onsite options and occasional travel. You will join designers and engineers to deliver technical portions of complex projects within scope, budget and schedule.

Required: BS in Engineering (ABET), PE eligibility, 10+ years in industrial fire protection and life safety, knowledge of NFPA, DOE/DOD, API, ICC, and FM Global data sheets; strong communication and

• ABET-accredited BS in Engineering.
• PE eligibility or registered engineer in fire protection or related discipline and willing to become registered by exam.
• 10+ years in major aspects of industrial fire protection and life safety with knowledge of NFPA standards, DOE/DOD, API, ICC and FM Global Data Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering deliverables, scope of work, budget, and schedule.
• Perform fire hazard and risk evaluations/analyses and fire modeling.
• Communicate complex ideas clearly to stakeholders outside the fire protection field.
• Engage with clients and management on fire and life safety issues and solutions.
