Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our US East Property & Building team. You will develop and lead full-service fire protection engineering and life-safety consulting projects for private and federal facilities, collaborating with architects and engineers to ensure code-compliant designs.

The role requires a PE license, a ABET-accredited degree in Fire Protection Engineering, and 10–20 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or ABET-accredited equivalent.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 10–20 years of experience in fire protection design and life-safety consulting.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire protection systems design and life-safety/code consulting projects for private and public sector clients.
• Coordinate with Revit design team for fire protection systems.
• Develop technical documentation: design narratives, memorandums, drawings, specs.
• Mentor junior engineers and perform peer reviews/QAQC.
• Support business development and proposal activities for fire protection.

Education
