Job summary

GHD's US East Region is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to lead full-service fire protection engineering and life safety consulting for private and public sector clients, including federal facilities. The role collaborates with the Revit design team, conducts life safety analyses, and develops design narratives, specifications, and project documentation while leading cross-disciplinary teams.

Travel up to 10% is expected; DoD/civilian project experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• FPE or ABET-accredited degree required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10–20 years of fire protection systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire protection design and life safety consulting projects.
• Coordinate with Revit design team for fire protection systems.
• Prepare reports, plans, and specifications per codes and standards.
• Manage projects across multi-discipline teams.
• Support business development and proposals.
• Mentor junior engineers.
