Stantec is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our North America Fire Protection Engineering Team in a senior, independent role on large, complex projects. You will lead a project through all phases, ensuring high-quality design and timely delivery for clients.

You will drive growth of the fire protection group by applying up-to-date tools, mentoring staff, and engaging in code reviews, with emphasis on quality, cost awareness, and collaboration across disciplines.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field; PE license preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) who has passed the fire protection engineering examination or NICET Level IV certification.

Responsabilidades

• Lead large projects of high complexity.
• Conduct building/fire/life safety code reviews and analyses.
• Prepare and present technical reports and presentations.
• Engage in design development through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other formats.
• Lead project coordination meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Participate in client meetings, value analysis, and basic cost estimating.
• Supervise assigned staff and mentor to strengthen technical abilities.
• Perform QA/QC on projects and peers.
• Help develop new standards and specs for the fire engineering group.
• Develop project scope, budget, and design approach for diverse projects.
• Assist with business development activities and proposals.
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects.
