Job summary

Bristol Alliance of Companies is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to lead detailed Building Code and Life Safety analyses and to evaluate fire detection, mass notification and suppression systems for DoD facilities. You will design using AutoCAD, prepare RFPs, specs, and cost estimates for various DoD projects across multi‑story offices, hospitals, hangars, and more.

Required 5+ years in fire protection design and knowledge of NFPA, IBC/IFC/IRC, and UFC standards.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering.
• 5+ years of fire protection system design experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• PE license desirable.
• Experience with Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed Building Code and Life Safety analyses for projects.
• Design fire protection systems and prepare specifications and cost estimates.
• Prepare engineering studies and reports on fire protection topics.
• Coordinate with in-house and A&E teams to ensure system integration.
• Communicate issues clearly to technicians responsible for installation and testing.
