Black & Veatch Special Projects Corp. is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to lead fire protection design on Federal government projects, including design‑build and design‑bid‑build.

You will review, analyze, and provide solutions for fire suppression, detection, life safety, and mass notification systems. The role requires coordinating with disciplines and clients to produce coordinated construction documents, with hybrid work options after 90 days.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• 11+ years of related fire protection experience.
• Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record requirements.
• U.S. citizenship for government projects.

Responsabilidades

• Read and interpret construction documents and apply NFPA/IBC/IFC standards.
• Lead development of construction documents for fire suppression and alarm systems.
• Manage design teams to meet scope, schedule, budget and quality.
• Perform technical reviews of complex design documents for code compliance.
• Review contractor shop drawings and submittals.
• Coordinate with internal and external team members.
• Work with authorities having jurisdiction to ensure safe operations.
• Perform field investigations and witness commissioning.
• Provide presentations and training on codes and regulations.
