Job summary

The Senior Fire Protection Engineer position at Bristol Alliance of Companies analyzes Building Code and Life Safety aspects and evaluates fire detection, mass notification, and suppression systems for Navy and DoD facilities. It requires an ABET-accredited engineering degree and at least 5 years of fire protection design experience, with capital improvement work preferred.

PE licensure is desirable and MS Project experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Mechanical Engineering or Fire Protection Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of Fire Protection System design experience.
• Experience with Capital Improvement projects for a Federal Agency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed Building Code and Life Safety analyses and assess fire protection systems for DoD facilities.
• Design and plan using AutoCAD, prepare RFPs, specifications, and cost estimates for in-house and A&E projects.
• Evaluate egress and construction type, identify deficiencies, and propose corrective measures.
