Job summary

Alliance Consulting Group is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to support the evaluation, planning, and design of fire protection and life-safety systems for federal, military, healthcare, institutional, and mission-critical facilities.

You will perform code analyses, develop fire suppression and fire alarm designs, conduct existing facility assessments, prepare construction documents, and coordinate fire protection requirements with multidisciplinary design teams.

Qualifications

• Plan, evaluate, and design fire protection and life-safety systems for federal projects and facilities.
• Prepare fire suppression, fire alarm, and life-safety drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Perform hydraulic calculations, hazard classifications, and water-demand analyses.
• Review codes including IBC, IFC, NFPA 13/72/101 and UFC guidelines.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and prepare construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Plan, evaluate, and design fire protection and life-safety systems for new construction, renovations, and existing facilities.
• Prepare fire suppression, fire alarm, mass notification, and life-safety drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, and analyses.
• Perform sprinkler hydraulics, fire-pump evaluations, and related analyses.
• Coordinate with architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and other disciplines.
• Prepare coordinated construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Participate in design reviews and BIM coordination meetings.
