Job summary

Arcadis in the United States is seeking an experienced Senior Fire Protection Engineer with a focus on data centers and mission-critical facilities. You will lead the fire protection discipline across multiple projects, collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Architects, and clients, and guide from pursuit through construction administration with occasional site travel.

A PE license is required, and a Bachelor's in Fire Protection or related field is needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
• PE license in Fire Protection required.
• Experience designing fire protection for data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards.
• Experience delivering IFC design packages.
• Strong communication and teamwork in hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire protection design for data center projects with reliability and uptime in mind.
• Develop construction-ready packages including drawings and BIM models.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers.
• Collaborate with MEP teams to integrate systems.
• Support proposals, cost estimates, and client engagement.
• Perform site assessments and fire protection studies for data centers.
• Utilize Revit, BIM platforms, AutoCAD, Navisworks, HydraCAD, Sprink Cad FDT, Aspire.
• Maintain client relationships as a technical advisor.
