Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Senior Fire Protection Engineer for data center and industrial projects in the U.S. Places Design & Engineering.

In this role you will lead fire protection across multiple projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams to deliver integrated solutions. Travel to project sites is expected, and you will support proposals, cost estimates, and client engagement while ensuring reliability and uptime standards for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Fire Protection (U.S.) required.
• Experience designing fire protection systems for data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards (13, 20, 22, 24, 72, 75, 76), IFC, IBC, FM Global guidelines.
• Experience delivering IFC design packages in complex or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire protection design for data center and mission-critical facilities.
• Develop construction-ready design packages with drawings, specs, BIM models.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Collaborate with MEP teams to integrate fire protection in high-density environments.
• Support business development with proposals, estimates, and client engagement.
• Perform site assessments and fire protection studies for data centers.
• Utilize Revit, BIM platforms, AutoCAD, Navisworks, HydraCAD, Sprink Cad FDT, Aspire.
