Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Fire Protection Design Manager to supervise design/BIM for new sprinkler projects in the Richmond area. You will review drawings, calculations, and submittals to ensure NFPA and project code compliance while coordinating material orders and field interfaces.

Role requires 5–7 years in fire protection design and prior supervisory experience; NICET II is preferred. Strong CAD skills, organization, and communication are essential for project success.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in fire protection design
• Prior supervisor/management experience
• NICET II certification (preferred)
• Understanding of NFPA and local authorities' jurisdiction requirements
• Ability to interpret architect drawings/specifications
• Proficient in Windows-based CAD/AutoCAD design software
• Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
• Must be able to multi-task with minimal supervision and solve problems

Responsibilities

• Provide general supervision of design/BIM aspects for new sprinkler projects
• Review drawings, submittals, and hydraulic calculations for NFPA compliance
• Coordinate material orders, deliveries, and vendor invoices
• Lead design meetings and coordinate with field personnel and A/E
• Ensure safety procedures and incident reporting are followed
• Assist FP sales with bid take-off as needed
• Maintain design files and review shop drawings with A/E teams
