Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. seeks a Fire Protection Design Manager to lead the design and BIM efforts for our new construction sprinkler projects from our HQ.

You will supervise designers, ensure NFPA compliance, review drawings and submittals, and coordinate materials and vendor invoices. The role requires strong project coordination and communication skills, with relocation to or from Richmond, VA as offered.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of fire protection design experience or equivalent.
• Prior supervisor/management experience.
• NICET Level II certification preferred.
• Understanding NFPA and local AHJ requirements.
• Ability to interpret architect drawings/specifications.
• Proficient in Windows CAD and design software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design/BIM for new construction sprinkler projects.
• Review drawings, submittals, calculations for NFPA compliance.
• Coordinate material lists and deliveries with stakeholders.
• Supervise designers, monitor design hours for profitability.
• Lead kickoff meetings and FP department coordination.
• Assist sales with bid takeoffs as needed.
• Ensure safety procedures and incident reporting are followed.
