The role requires 5–7 years of fire protection design or equivalent, prior supervisory experience, NFPA knowledge, AutoCAD and MS Office proficiency, and strong organizational skills. This position offers relocation to Richmond, VA with a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in fire protection design and/or equivalent
• Prior supervisor/management experience
• NICET Level II certification preferred but not required
• Understanding of NFPA and local jurisdiction requirements
• Proficient in CAD design software and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Oversee design/BIM for new construction sprinkler projects
• Review drawings, specs, and hydraulic calculations for NFPA compliance
• Coordinate material submittals, vendor invoices, and shop drawing reviews
• Lead and supervise designers; monitor design hours and progress
• Coordinate permits with AHJ and ensure safety procedures are followed
