Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. is seeking a Project Manager to profitably execute small-dollar Fire Install Projects.

You will lead execution teams on-site, coordinate with Sales and Operations, and manage scope, costs, and schedules to ensure on-time delivery and favorable cash flow. The role requires a PMP (preferred), a construction-related degree, and experience with MS Project, MS Office, Visio, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture is preferred.
• An Associate degree with equivalent work-related experience and/or a minimum of five years of direct field experience in the Building Construction Industry is required.
• Must be able to verbally and non-verbally communicate technical material to both a technical and non-technical audience.
• Travel may be required based on project assignment and needs.
• Must be proficient in Project Management software and financial accounting systems: MS Project, MS Office, Adobe Writer, Visio, Windows.

Responsibilities

• Execute small dollar Fire Install Projects profitably, coordinating with Sales and Operations Leaders.
• Provide on-site leadership to engineers, designers, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Manage scope, costs, resources, and risks to deliver on time and within budget.
• Pursue change orders and prepare cost estimates and proposals as needed.
• Oversee project billing, accounts payable, and collections to maintain positive cash flow.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, codes, and safety standards and report progress to management.
