Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Field Project Manager to lead installation projects for fire alarm, security, and communications systems across commercial, educational, healthcare, industrial, and military facilities. You will establish local project offices, define scope, manage risks, and coordinate resources to ensure on-time, in-scope delivery.

The role requires a high school diploma, Fire & Life Safety or related certification, 5 years of installation experience, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in Fire & Life Safety, Electrical/Electronic; Security preferred.
• 5 years’ installation experience in Fire, Electrical, or Security systems.
• PMP within two years of employment.
• NICET Level II must be obtained within one year of employment.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Project) and capable of creating Excel macros.
• Willingness for frequent local travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex fire alarm, security, and communications installation projects in various facilities.
• Set up local project offices, define scope, assess risks, and allocate resources.
• Manage schedule, cost, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction; provide updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are closed on time and within scope.
• Coordinate changes and strive to improve overall project margins.
