Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an on-site project leader to plan, execute, and complete fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion, and intercom projects. You will manage hardware design, programming, installations, and commissioning while balancing customer satisfaction with project profitability.

You will coordinate materials, subcontractors, and bids, ensuring on-time delivery, compliance with safety standards, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ experience with installation and service of fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion and intercom systems
• Demonstrate working knowledge of electricity and electronics and troubleshooting
• Active certifications in access control/CCTV/intrusion/intercom
• Ability to work independently
• Strong customer service skills
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds
• High school/trade school or two-year associate degree in electronics/computers
• Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of IT networks
• Ability to use hand and power tools and test equipment
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to read complex building documents and plans
• Must pass background, drug, and credit checks

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and complete fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion, and intercom projects on site
• Manage costs, billings, and collections for projects
• Coordinate communication with customers during all project phases
• Provide jobsite coordination for panel and device locations
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
• Provide coaching to technicians and subcontractors
• Forecast monthly revenue, costs, and gross margin
• Prepare commissioning documentation and warranties
