Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to inspect, test, maintain and repair fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA codes and industry standards. You will deliver thorough inspections, perform preventive maintenance and provide expert guidance to clients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Technical or vocational training in fire alarm systems preferred.
• 5+ years Fire Alarm Technician experience.
• NICET certifications strongly preferred.
• State-specific fire alarm licensing preferred or ability to acquire.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; willingness to travel to client sites.
• Solid understanding of NFPA 72 and related codes.
• Proficient reading of blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, maintain and repair fire alarm systems per NFPA codes and standards.
• Prepare detailed inspection and test reports documenting findings and deficiencies.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs on wiring, circuitry, devices and software.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies; diagnose and resolve issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and battery replacement to extend system life.
• Document all service activities, parts usage and notes.
• Provide detailed inspection reports and repair estimates with Deficiency Sellers.
• Schedule work with clients and discuss findings and recommendations.
• Coordinate with Service Coordinators to optimize work orders and scheduling.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
