Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to inspect, test, maintain and repair fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial settings. You will follow NFPA codes and ensure reliable life-safety systems for customers.

Responsibilities include on-site inspections, detailed reporting, troubleshooting, and timely service after hours. You will work with customers to discuss findings and recommend upgrades while using ServiceTrade for documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical or vocational training in fire alarm systems is preferred.
• NICET certifications and state licensing are strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record and ability to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, maintain and repair fire alarm systems per NFPA standards.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and test results.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs on wiring, devices and software.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies to restore system functionality.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document all service activities.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to schedule work and provide quotes.
