Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to inspect, test and maintain fire alarm systems across client sites. You will perform detailed inspections, diagnose failures and perform repairs in accordance with NFPA codes and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have strong troubleshooting, clear communication and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Travel to client sites may be required, and NICET certification is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or vocational training in fire alarm systems preferred.
• NICET certifications strongly preferred.
• State fire alarm licensing preferred, or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test and maintain fire alarm systems.
• Prepare inspection reports with findings and deficiencies.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions in wiring, devices and software.
• Respond to service calls and emergency requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance and battery replacements.
• Document all service activities and parts used.
