Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in building systems, seeks a Field Support Technician/Programmer for Fire Alarm systems. You will coordinate travel to local offices, perform remote programming, read construction documents, and ensure NFPA standards are applied correctly.

You will work with design and remote teams, attend weekly reviews, and assist installation crews. Strong MS Office and Excel skills, 10+ years in Simplex, and willingness to travel up to 50% are preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years Simplex Fire Alarm Technician/Programming experience.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
• NICET Level III certification preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and travel to local offices to assist with customer sites.
• Perform remote programming of Fire Alarm Systems in a Microsoft Teams environment.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Apply NFPA standards to design and program fire alarm systems.
• Support installation crews and coordinate with district contracting teams.
