Placements24 in the United States seeks a senior project manager to lead high‑impact FinTech initiatives in a remote, international setting. You will drive product development, platform integrations, and regulatory programs, delivering on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

You will manage diverse teams, collaborate with compliance and product stakeholders, promote Agile practices, and optimize delivery through risk management and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in FinTech.
• Proven track record delivering complex FinTech initiatives.
• Deep understanding of financial services, markets, payments, and regulatory regimes.
• Exceptional leadership and ability to manage remote teams.
• Proficient in Jira, Confluence, MS Project; familiar with Agile/Waterfall.
• Bachelor's in Finance, CS, Business Admin, or related field.
• MBA, PMP or FinTech certifications are desirable.
• Experience in a fully remote, international environment is essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Thrives in fast-paced, highly regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end management of complex FinTech projects, including product development, platform integrations, and regulatory initiatives.
• Develop comprehensive project plans with scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resources.
• Manage project budgets and track expenditures to meet financial objectives.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams of developers, product managers, compliance, and marketing.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues, especially regulatory and cybersecurity.
• Ensure adherence to regulations (e.g., POPIA, FICA) throughout the lifecycle.
• Facilitate clear communication with stakeholders and provide regular progress updates.
• Drive adoption of Agile practices within project teams.
• Manage vendor relationships and third-party integrations as needed.
• Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve delivery.
