Job summary

MVB Financial Corp. is seeking an experienced leader to own profitability strategy, pricing methodology, and contract terms for the Fintech division.

You will develop financial models, assess client profitability, and prepare pricing recommendations across fees, deposits and revenue sharing, guiding executive decisions. Collaborating with senior leaders, you will drive strategic financial analysis, supervise forecasting up to 24 months, and coordinate with external vendors and sponsor banks

Qualifications

• An undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related business discipline, with 7+ years of relevant experience including banking and Fintech.
• Demonstrated ability to construct complex and advanced Excel models (samples of work will be considered).
• Working knowledge of banking economics, including deposit pricing, earnings credit, and the drivers of net interest margin.
• Familiarity with Banking as a Service (BaaS) and payments business models.
• Familiarity with sponsor bank economics.
• Demonstrated experience in forecasting and analysis of unit economics and partner level performance data.
• Ability to lead, manage, and prioritize multiple projects, tasks, or workflows.
• Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to influence partners and management.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Own Fintech profitability strategy, including methodology, thresholds, and return requirements for evaluating Fintech relationships.
• Develop and maintain financial models and projections to assess client profitability and guide executive decisions.
• Prepare pricing recommendations for new Fintech clients across fees, deposits, earnings credit, and revenue sharing; include contract terms and renewals.
• Lead Finance review during initial client evaluations and present recommendations to Fintech Oversight Committee.
• Communicate approved strategy and pricing requirements to Fintech team during client discussions and renegotiations of contracts.
• Maintain relationships with key Fintech personnel to ensure engagements align with financial objectives.
• Participate in client meetings and negotiations to discuss financial requirements and pricing.
• Collaborate on Fintech strategy with Head of Business Development and Chief Deposit Officer.
• Serve as liaison for Fintech Finance with vendors, auditors, sponsor banks, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure data collection for unit economics and partner performance is complete and timely.
• Represent Finance in committees like Liquidity and Capital Committee, Finance Committee, ALCO, Management Pricing Committee, and Fintech Oversight Committee.
• Provide strategic financial input on balance sheet, liquidity, and capital considerations related to Fintech deposits and revenue.
• Maintain ownership of profitability models and reports, and monthly Fintech noninterest income and new client reports.
• Develop and maintain Fintech budgeting assumptions; prepare rolling forecast for up to 24 months.
• Provide guidance and review of work produced by Fintech and Finance teams as needed.
