Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting and drive financial strategy across a multi-state organization (MA & NJ). The role partners with executive leadership to forecast, plan, and implement AI-powered financial initiatives.

You will manage close processes, cash flow, intercompany accounting, and internal controls while building scalable systems and infrastructure to support growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance required or related field.
• 5+ years in accounting/finance with progressive responsibility.
• 3+ years in a leadership role; multi-state experience preferred.
• Experience with cannabis accounting and 280E tax code is a plus.
• CPA/CMA or Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage cash flow, bank reconciliations, and intercompany accounting across MA and NJ.
• Lead outsourced bookkeeping, strengthen internal controls, and drive scalable processes.
• Develop AI-powered forecasting models and long-range planning for growth.
• Partner with CEO and leadership to influence strategic decisions.
