Job summary

Vaco by Highspring offers a relationship-driven business development role in accounting and finance, connecting senior financial leaders with solutions across audit, FP&A, M&A, tax, and software implementations. You will partner with a recruiting team to present the right professionals at the right time and drive a proactive sales pipeline.

The role involves building trusted CFO-level relationships, strategic prospecting, and staying ahead of market trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA, CFA, MBA, or related designation highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting, financial consulting, and/or audit experience.
• Public accounting and/or Big Four experience is highly preferred.
• Consultative, relationship-driven approach and credibility with senior financial leaders.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow trusted relationships with CFOs, VPs, and other senior accounting/finance leaders.
• Generate new business through strategic prospecting, networking, referrals, events, and meetings.
• Promote accounting and finance solutions for audits, financial reporting, FP&A, M&A, tax, software implementations, and related areas.
• Identify client needs, recommend solutions, secure opportunities, and manage them end to end.
• Partner with recruiting team to present professionals and resources at the right time.
• Develop a focused target-account strategy and maintain a consistent pipeline.
• Monitor local market and hiring trends, including expansions, relocations, and new businesses.
• Provide high-level oversight of engagements and maintain client relationships.
• Manage daily/weekly activities aligned with productivity, revenue and growth goals.
