Job summary

SeatGeek is seeking a seasoned backend software engineer to own and evolve core services that ingest settlement and transaction data at scale, translating it into general ledger and billing systems. You will design durable, auditable data models and infrastructure while shaping data contracts across engineering teams.

You will collaborate with Finance, Data Science, and Product to ensure data quality and reliability in a SOX-controlled environment, while using AI-first approaches to accelerate

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience handling transactional or financial data, ideally in a SOX controlled environment.
• Experience designing services and data models that are reliable, auditable, and built to last.
• Familiarity with the interface between streaming production data and a data warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and own core services that ingest PSP settlement and transactional data at scale, translating it into the general ledger and billing systems.
• Design and deliver infrastructure converting bespoke monetization terms into durable, auditable configurations.
• Rapidly build and iterate tools to improve quality and speed of finance data interactions, AI-first by default.
• Partner with product engineering teams to shape data contracts and modeling at the source.
• Communicate with Finance, Accounting, Data Scientists, Analysts, Data Platform Engineers, and Product to ensure data quality.
