Job summary

SeatGeek is seeking a backend-focused software engineer to build core data pipelines that ingest PSP settlement and transactional data and translate it into the general ledger and billing systems. You’ll design durable infrastructure for complex deal terms and enable auditable data flows that support finance and product teams.

You’ll work across Finance, Data Science, and Engineering in a fast-moving, SOX-controlled environment.

Qualifications

5+ years building production backend systems.
Proficient in Python and SQL with financial data.
Experience with SOX controls and audit readiness.
Designs scalable, auditable data models and services.
Familiar with streaming data and data warehouses.

Responsibilities

Build and own core services that ingest settlement and transactional data at scale and translate it into GL and billing systems.
Design infrastructure to convert bespoke deal terms into durable configurations.
Develop tools to improve quality and speed of finance data interactions, AI-first by default.
Collaborate with product engineering to model data and define data contracts upstream.
Communicate with Finance, Accounting, Data Scientists, and Product to ensure data quality and governance.
Maintain accuracy and SOX-compliant operations across the platform.
