Lumen Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Field Technician III to perform diverse field tasks across telecom and data services. You will install, test, and maintain transport, Ethernet, SONET, and IP layers, while working on outside plant from fiber to CPE.

Independent work and occasional leadership of teams are possible. The role requires strong knowledge of transmission and switching, fiber testing, and field installation practices, with on-site duties across local networks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technician experience in a telecommunications/data center environment.
• Strong knowledge of Transmission, Switching, and TCP/IP networking.
• Experience with field installations, testing, and maintenance of transport and data services.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots network equipment, replaces defective parts, and helps restore services.
• Installs, changes, tests, and decommissions transport, Ethernet, SONET, and IP network layers.
• Performs fiber locating and outside plant work and coordinates with team members.
• Maintains on-site assets, tools, and fleet materials; supports PM duties.
