Job summary

EPS in Riverside, CA is seeking a Sr. Field Technician to lead field crews in testing, maintenance, and commissioning of high-, medium-, and low-voltage electrical equipment.

You will develop testing plans, mentor junior technicians, and serve as the primary field interface with customers and engineers. The role demands strong technical expertise, safety leadership, and project coordination across diverse electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Criminal background check required.
• Ability to work overtime and travel out of town as needed.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews in testing, inspection, maintenance, and commissioning of high, medium, and low voltage electrical equipment.
• Install, test, and maintain electrical apparatus including circuit breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding systems, and switchgear.
• Perform and lead complex troubleshooting of electrical and control systems; determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze test results and validate system performance; consult schematics and manuals to optimize equipment functionality.
• Direct repair, replacement, and maintenance activities to ensure reliable restoration of equipment.
• Develop testing plans, procedures, and work scopes; prepare and review detailed reports.
