Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Field Technician III to lead crews on high- and medium-voltage testing and maintenance. You will troubleshoot complex substation equipment, support commissioning, and mentor junior technicians in safety-conscious field operations.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with engineers, project managers, and other teams during critical field work.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Criminal background check required.
• Overtime availability and travel.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead field crews for testing and maintenance of high-, medium-, and low-voltage equipment.
• Ensure safety compliance and PPE usage across the team.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues using diagrams and schematics.
• Coordinate daily field activities with engineers, project managers, and other crews for efficient execution.
• Mentor junior technicians and review field documentation including test reports and logs.
