Job summary

Electric Power Systems is seeking a Field Technician III to lead field crews, perform advanced testing and maintenance on substation equipment, and troubleshoot complex systems across North America.

You will provide technical leadership, ensure safety compliance, and support engineers and project teams during commissioning and critical field operations. The role requires travel and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen for safety-sensitive role.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Willing to overtime and travel for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Lead field crews, perform advanced testing and maintenance on substations.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical/control system issues from schematics and diagrams.
• Direct repair, replacement, and maintenance to restore equipment.
• Support installation and commissioning activities with testing and verification.
• Review field documentation for accuracy and discrepancy tracking.
• Coordinate daily field activities with engineers and project managers.
• Mentor junior technicians and reinforce best practices.
