Job summary

Electric Power Systems is seeking a Field Technician III to lead field crews, perform advanced testing, and troubleshoot complex substation equipment. You will work closely with engineers to support commissioning and critical field operations in North America.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in the industry, NETA III certification, and experience with high-, medium-, and low-voltage equipment, transformers, and switchgear. Safety-driven with travel flexibility is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Associates Degree in Electrical/Electronic technology; Military experience preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• NETA III certification.
• Industry certification programs preferred (infrared, corona, oil analysis, etc.).
• Willingness to travel and work overtime; valid drivers license; pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead job site safety briefings and enforce PPE usage.
• Direct field execution of testing, inspection, and maintenance of LV/MV/HV equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues from schematics and diagrams.
• Coordinate daily field activities with engineers, project managers, and other crews.
• Mentor and train junior technicians; ensure proper documentation of test reports and logs.
