Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Field Technician III to lead crews in testing and maintenance of high-, medium-, and low-voltage electrical equipment at substations and field sites across North America. You will perform advanced diagnostics, interpret test results, mentor junior technicians, ensure safety compliance, and support commissioning activities with engineers and project teams.

The role requires travel, overtime, background check, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Electrical / Electronic technology, military experience preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience in electrical testing and maintenance.
• NETA III certification; additional infra/Corona/oil analysis certs welcomed.
• Industry certification programs preferred (Infrared, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead field crews on testing, inspection, and maintenance of high, medium, and low voltage equipment.
• Perform advanced testing and diagnostics on breakers, transformers, and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues using schematics and drawings.
• Ensure safety policies, PPE usage, and safe work practices across the team.
• Coordinate field activities with engineers and project managers; mentor junior techs.
• Review field documentation, test reports, and maintenance logs for accuracy.
