Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking an experienced Field Technician III to lead field crews in advanced testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of substation equipment. The role interfaces with engineers and project teams to ensure safe, efficient commissioning and field operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in electrical testing, NETA-related credentials preferred, and willingness to travel for project assignments across North America.

Qualifications

• Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Complete a satisfactory criminal background check.
• Able to work overtime and travel out of town for periods.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety policies and ensure proper PPE usage.
• Lead field crews and coordinate daily field activities with engineers and project managers.
• Perform advanced testing of high, medium, and low voltage equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues using schematics and diagrams.
• Direct repair, replacement, and maintenance to restore equipment functionality.
• Support installation and commissioning activities and lead functional testing.
• Review field documentation for accuracy and maintain logs and discrepancy tracking.
