Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Field Technician II to perform testing, inspection, and maintenance of substation electrical equipment with increased independence. You will troubleshoot and support field activities while prioritizing safety and quality.

The role requires climbing, lifting up to 70 lbs, travel for project coverage, and the ability to work overtime. Experience with high, medium and low voltage equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Criminal background check required.
• Able to work overtime and travel out of town.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and PPE usage.
• Participate in safety trainings and meetings.
• Perform testing of high, medium, and low voltage equipment.
• Inspect and maintain breakers, transformers, instrument transformers, grounding, battery systems, and switchgear.
• Document testing and maintenance work clearly and accurately.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to complete field activities safely.
