Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Field Technician I to join our Nashville team. You will collaborate with project management professionals to safely perform field services activities and develop your skills through training and certifications.

Responsibilities include observing and testing soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel on construction sites, collecting data, and preparing field reports.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Must maintain current basic certifications and two advanced certifications.
• OSHA 10 is a plus.
• Position requires carrying 40–70 lbs daily or up to 85 lbs occasionally.
• Must have valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Must provide suitable transportation for use on job sites – mileage reimbursed.
• Strong communication, reading and writing skills.
• Strong understanding of heavy construction safety, practices and procedures.
• Ability to work with clients, peers and supervisors.
• Proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: observe, test, sample, and inspect materials on construction sites.
• Testing Procedures: conduct routine field tests following industry standards.
• Data Collection: calculations, data reduction, and field reports.
• Communication: maintain site communications and inform teams of changes.
• Training and Development: receive ECS methodology training and document findings.
