Job summary

ECS Group of Companies invites a talented Construction Materials Testing Senior Field Technician I to join our Nashville team. You will perform observation, sampling, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, and more on construction sites alongside experienced project managers.

You will develop your skills through ECS-certified training and pursue opportunities with ACI, ASNT, NICET, and other certifying bodies while contributing to safe, compliant field operations and accurate field

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years related experience in field testing or construction materials.
• Must maintain current basic certifications and acquire two advanced certifications.
• OSHA 10 is a plus.
• Must have valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 40–70 lbs multiple times a day and occasionally 85 lbs.
• Strong communication and reading/writing skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials on construction sites.
• Conduct routine field tests for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement using various methodologies and testing equipment.
• Collect data, perform calculations, and prepare field reports documenting site observations.
• Maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers; inform of changing site conditions and testing requests.
• Receive training in ECS methodology and document findings with precision.
