Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Field Technician I to join our Cleveland team. You will perform field observations, sampling and testing of soils, concrete, aggregates, and related materials under moderate supervision, collaborating with project managers and technicians.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and strong communication, math, and data reduction skills.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Maintain basic certifications and two advanced certifications applicable to the work performed.
• General industry OSHA 10 may be required.
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS.

Responsibilities

• Performs field observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, asphalt, structural steel, and related materials.
• Executes testing activities on projects of moderate complexity with minimal supervision.
• Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers.
• Reports changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisors.
• Prepares accurate and detailed daily field reports documenting site conditions and results.
• Performs calculations, data reduction, and documentation tasks.
• Maintains and organizes field equipment and testing materials.
• Assists in resolving field-related issues and supports project execution.
• Trains and mentors Technician I and Technician II staff in field procedures and documentation.
• Participates in project meetings with senior staff as requested.
