Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Technician to lead complex vehicle repairs and field operations. The role blends on-site service center work with remote support, travel to remote locations, and production plant assignments as business needs demand.

The candidate will mentor junior team members, tackle advanced diagnostics, and drive continuous improvement in repair workflows while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years automotive repair experience with bumper-to-bumper diagnostics.
• 3–8+ years hands-on High Voltage (HV) system experience.
• Experience in leadership or supervisory roles (e.g., Shop Foreman, Team Lead).
• Willingness to travel and work weekends/odd shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform bumper-to-bumper diagnostics, complex repairs, installations, and inspections at service centers or in the field.
• Provide high-level diagnostic guidance and remote diagnostics/repairs when local access is limited.
• Coach, mentor, and train junior technicians; lead cross-functional problem-solving.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to resolve complex HV and network faults.
• Conduct thorough road tests and drive continuous improvement of repair workflows.
• Oversee parts operations including ordering, receiving, inventory, and billing.
• Produce high-quality documentation and deliver root-cause feedback to engineering and field teams.
