Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking an experienced Survey Lead to manage a field surveying team on utility-scale projects in Texas. You will oversee data collection, prepare maps and legal descriptions, and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

The role requires strong leadership, 5+ years as a surveyor, excellent communication, and the ability to travel frequently. Work outdoors in varying weather, with occasional heavy equipment and long hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Surveyor or equivalent role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong technical skills with survey equipment and software.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of surveyors in the field, ensuring resources and support to complete the job.
• Oversee the survey work, including data collection and preparation of maps, plans, and legal descriptions.
• Ensure survey work meets standards and regulations.
• Interpret survey results and decide on survey methods and equipment.
• Communicate with clients and provide progress updates.
• Maintain and update survey equipment and train the team.
• Collaborate with the Construction Manager to complete the project on time and within budget.
